The bassinet was placed infront of our seats. Of course, if you want a bassinet, you must inform the officer at the ticketing counter so that they will allocate the appropriate seats for you. Not all seats can be fitted with a bassinet.
If you have bigger children, forget about the bassinet and opt for a seat instead. The child would be more comfortable. That is what we did when we went to Bali when Mia was about 1.5 years old.
With regards to milk, we brought enough milk powder for a few feeds in our hand carry luggage(depending on the flight) and a whole unopened tin (Regulation in Australia: All milk products brought in must be unopened) in our check-in baggage. For hot water, we just ask the stewardess.
